An ongoing design practice, the exhibition is part of Superstudio’s Superdesign event, which this year is under the artistic direction of Giulio Cappellini.

The exhibition environment uses black as the background, creating a calm and focused atmosphere. Most of the exhibits are designed in white, and with the help of spotlights, the unique characteristics and details of each work are further highlighted. Such a contrast not only makes the exhibits more visually eye-catching, but also enhances the audience's attention and appreciation of each work, reflecting the exquisiteness of Nendo's design.

In the exhibition, Nendo explores the integral role of movement in our lives. We move our bodies, we move objects, and even some things move independently around us. Even completely still objects can convey a sense of movement. Objects can move in response to our movements, and sometimes encourage us to move in response to them. For example, a chair can be understood as an object that urges us to sit down. So when designing a chair, are we designing a product or the process of sitting down? Through these discussions, Nendo hopes that the audience will rethink our relationship with the things around us and realize the important role that movement plays in our daily lives. These exhibits are not just design works, but artistic expressions of movement and interaction, showing how design can influence and guide our behavior and experience.

This exhibition focuses on the relationship between objects and people, with a total of ten objects on display, all of which interpret the concept of movement. For example, the container series shows the opening and closing of the lid under different touches; the zipper series re-examines the familiar linear motion to explore new functions; the blinds automatically open or close according to the movement of people and light; the hourglass hourglass designs time itself by controlling the movement of the sand inside it. These works are not just static exhibits, but present a dynamic aesthetic and functionality through interaction with the audience. Through this innovative design, Nendo explores the interactive relationship between objects and people, and triggers the audience's thinking about the subtle relationship between movement and static in daily life.

These objects, as well as the other objects on display, contain the concept of movement in their own shapes and functions. At the same time, they also make use of the most advanced technology, artistic mechanisms and unconventional materials. This combination creates amazing works that break the boundaries of traditional design and perfectly combine movement with aesthetics, functionality and innovation. Such designs are not only a rethinking of the objects themselves, but also a clever combination of technology and creativity in the design process, showing the unique charm and influence of Nendo as a design studio.
