Osnabrück is located in the northwest of Germany. As the "City of Peace in Westphalia", it has a pivotal position in history. The permanent exhibition "Stadtspuren Osnabrück" of the Museum of Cultural History forms the museum quarter together with the Felix-Nussbaum-Haus and the Villa Schlikker. Six themed rooms present the history of the city from different perspectives. The starting point is a digital city model. Set exhibition furniture presents various exhibits as black and white pioneers - presenting important events and people in chronological order. With the push of a button, the curtains on the wall open. The contemporary speaks directly to the visitor. At the center of the exhibition is the Peace Forum, a spatial structure clad in oak veneer, from whose seating steps a large projection of Westphalian peace can be seen.
