黄城根小学昌平校区项目是一次成功将建筑理念与教育理念相结合的设计实践，同时也是北京市第一所被动房学校建筑。该校将百年历史的黄城根小学与和立建筑实践事务所丰富的教育建筑设计经验相结合，共同致力于打造一所“以学生为中心”的“二十一世纪的学校”。
The Changping Campus Project of Huangchenggen Primary School is a successful design practice that combines architectural and educational concepts, and is also the first passive housing school building in Beijing. The school combines the century old Huangchenggen Primary School with the rich educational architectural design experience of Heli Architecture Practice Firm, jointly committed to creating a student-centered "21st century school".

学校的空间架构采用了“学习社区”的理念，将传统的“教室+走廊”布局替换为以年级为单位的“年级客厅”。每个年级160名学生组成一个学习社区，为孩子们提供安全感和归属感，促进课堂的延伸和多学科的交叉。
The spatial architecture of the school adopts the concept of "learning community", replacing the traditional layout of "classrooms+corridors" with a "grade living room" based on grades. 160 students in each grade form a learning community, providing children with a sense of security and belonging, promoting classroom extension and interdisciplinary integration.

在空间设计上，年级客厅、专科教室、图书馆、多功能体育馆、餐厅、报告厅等形成了多个“盒子”，并通过扭转的平面布局形成了多个三角形院子。这种“盒子和院子的故事”设计有效地缩小了建筑的尺度，丰富了室内外的空间形态。
In terms of spatial design, the grade living room, vocational classrooms, library, multifunctional gymnasium, restaurant, lecture hall, etc. have formed multiple "boxes", and multiple triangular courtyards have been formed through a twisted planar layout. This "box and yard story" design effectively reduces the scale of the building and enriches the spatial form of indoor and outdoor spaces.

学校的核心空间是三层通高的表演艺术中庭，功能等同于小镇中心，与舞蹈戏剧教室以及“演艺院子”形成一系列的非正式演出和集会场所。同时，室外的“生活院子”连接了餐厅、体育馆和乐队排练厅，提供了草地音乐会的理想场所。
The core space of the school is a three story high performing arts atrium, which functions equivalent to the town center and forms a series of informal performance and gathering places with dance and drama classrooms and the "performing arts courtyard". At the same time, the outdoor "living yard" connects the restaurant, gymnasium, and band rehearsal hall, providing an ideal venue for grass concerts.

多个“盒子”和院子的连接形成了学生中心、创客空间、网络咖啡、生活中心等主题学习场所，取代了传统的走廊，为多种学习方式提供了多样化的环境，实现了“处处可以学习”的教学理念。
The connection between multiple "boxes" and the courtyard forms themed learning places such as student centers, maker spaces, online coffee, and life centers, replacing traditional corridors and providing diverse environments for various learning methods, realizing the teaching concept of "learning everywhere".

在饰面材料方面，室内外的主要材料仅为环保涂料，色彩和形式成为了设计的主要元素，强调了黄城根校徽的蓝色和黄色色板，以及矩形和三角形的形式语汇。
In terms of decorative materials, the main materials for indoor and outdoor use are only environmentally friendly coatings, and color and form have become the main elements of the design, emphasizing the blue and yellow color plates of the Huangchenggen school emblem, as well as the form vocabulary of rectangles and triangles.

总体而言，在整个设计过程中，设计团队始终将空间理念融入到教育理念中，以学生的需求和体验为优先考虑，创造性地营造出了一个通透、开放、互动且尺度多样化的学习场所，将公立学校建设成为真正意义上的“以学生为中心”的“二十一世纪的学校”。
Overall, throughout the design process, the design team has always integrated spatial concepts into educational concepts, prioritizing the needs and experiences of students. They have creatively created a transparent, open, interactive, and diverse learning environment, turning public schools into truly student-centered "21st century schools".
