E Studio被邀请与KClighting合作,为中国灯饰之都设计其全球旗舰展厅。在这个合作中,E Studio的目标不仅仅是为KClighting提供一个展示产品的场所,更重要的是通过创新和突破传统零售灯具的定义,为消费者带来全新的购物体验。在商业空间的本质方面,E Studio反复推敲和思考,创造出一个结合科技和艺术的未来零售体验,以此向全世界展示他们的创意视野。
E Studio was invited to cooperate with KClighting to design its global flagship showroom for the lighting capital of China. In this cooperation, the goal of E Studio is not only to provide KClighting with a place to display products, but more importantly, to bring consumers a new shopping experience through innovation and breaking through the definition of traditional retail lighting. In terms of the essence of commercial space, E Studio deliberates and thinks repeatedly to create a future retail experience that combines technology and art, so as to show their creative vision to the world.

在设计一个空间时,我们希望人们能够在进入时感受到一种特定的情感。我们认为空间应该呈现出“现实与幻想”的主题,并希望人们能够强烈地感受到这种主题。因此,我们认为设计应该简单而不过于复杂,没有太多曲线。在建筑设计中,柱子是主要的垂直支撑结构,它可以被用来分割和定义空间。我们认为柱子不应该是一个孤立的元素,而是应该与其他设计元素形成一个硬朗的块面。这种设计不仅符合过去的传统,也具有未来感。
When designing a space, we want people to feel a certain emotion when they enter. We think that the space should present the theme of "reality and fantasy", and hope that people can feel this theme strongly. Therefore, we thought that the design should be simple and not overly complicated, without too many curves. In architectural design, columns are the main vertical support structures that can be used to divide and define spaces. We believe that the column should not be an isolated element, but should form a tough block with other design elements. This design not only conforms to the tradition of the past, but also has a sense of the future.

The entrance to this space is located on one side, while the other side is a floor-to-ceiling glass observation window. These windows not only provide natural light, but are also able to create an emotional connection with the audience through the interaction of sensing technology and robotic arms. Through the combination of digital technology and the real world, we can provide an emotional experience beyond imagination, allowing the audience to feel the moment when two completely separate worlds meet here. This design allows people to explore more deeply the connection between the digital world and the real world and gain a unique experience in this space.

In this space, we have a lamp display table, on which various lamps are displayed. Through the buttons, visitors can actually operate the switches of the lamps, so as to better understand the design and function of the lamps. At the center of the display table is a robotic arm programmed to demonstrate the disassembly and assembly process of the lamp parts. The movement of this robotic arm is designed to resemble human gestures, and it will dance when there are visitors and respond to the indoor lights. This design not only allows people to better understand the design and manufacturing process of the lamps, but also allows visitors to gain a unique artistic experience while admiring the lamps.

In this space, we have a solid black box that has a very sculptural effect. We hope that through HOLOLENS as a mixed reality output device, KClighting's products will interact with visitors. Inside the black box, we will display some interactive projection works or mixed reality installation art works, which can interact with visitors and let them have a deeper understanding of KClighting's products and design concepts. Through this design, we hope to combine the real world with the digital world to create a brand-new visiting experience, allowing visitors to get a unique experience of art and technology in this space.

In this space, the lighting can be changed according to the scene, and it can be dimmed during the concert, while some furniture elements and benches can be easily moved to adapt to different usage scenarios. The circulation of the visitor experience includes a dedicated art exhibition space for the display of paintings, sculptures and video art, and a coffee area at the entrance of the passageway.

Austrian filmmaker, architect and experimental artist Gustav Deutsch's first live-action film Shirley: A Vision of Reality is one of those rare artistic treasures that cannot be categorized. Recreating 13 paintings by Edward Hopper, the film charts three decades of American history through the unfolding life of protagonist Shirley, a fictional red-haired actress who responds with equal zeal to the sociopolitical changes around her in her own private affairs, visually sharing the hallmarks of the painter's work: bright colors, strong diagonal lines, bright lights, and large empty windows that allude to the larger world outside and all its hidden possibilities.

The lighting design of an exhibition space is a challenging task as it needs to accurately display the colors of exhibits and provide the best visual experience for visitors. The color of an artwork is very important to show it for what it really is, hence the need for a lighting design with a high color rendering index (CRI). In addition, in order to ensure the integrity of the artwork, it is necessary to hide the lamps, illuminate the exhibits in the best way, and provide the best viewing conditions for the visitors.

The space brings together academics, artists, designers, and more, coming together to create an environment of synergy and a sense of community. Materials such as concrete, dark wood veneer, and stone are used in the building to form the basic color palette, emphasizing the focus on the visual perception and emotional experience of the space. Contrary to the unthinking accumulation of materials, this space emphasizes the spirit of innovation and design value.
