Given 700 million potential users, China's digital industry is rapidly expanding. Guangzhou's Cloud DCS (short for Data Center Services) is a major player in this industry. At the end of 2013, the director of Italian architect Alberto Puchetti Hong Kong design company Arboit Ltd introduced the company's services and looked forward to the Internet culture and history to the existing 20.000 square meters of industrial buildings in the headquarters of the design company, including offices and racks containing thousands of servers in rooms, to meet customers and multimedia display rooms. Due to its abstract nature, Internet services rarely have a suitable brand image. The purpose of this project is also to transform the reality of the Internet as a truly important change driver in our life and society into a figurative language.

The building of this project is located within an industrial park surrounded by green areas. The development process of this region is recent, just like in the past. It is a wetland area that has never been inhabited except for some farms. The main area of the project is 1958 square meters, accounting for half of the bottom floor area of the 20.440 square meter building. This space includes a cabinet technician who checks the status of servers in the entrance hall, offices, conference rooms, and control rooms. Several exhibition halls showcase the company's multimedia facilities in a 1050 square meter exhibition hall, a room with a 180 degree projector, a gallery of accessories for cloud DCS products, 3D video screens made of plastic balls, an interactive video gallery, and two display stands showcasing the architectural model of the future cloud DCS designed by Arboit Ltd. The rest of the building provides masculine rooms for hundreds of thousands of server racks.

The IT company Cloud DCS briefly introduced to the Hong Kong design company Arboit Ltd that the goal of this project is to create an identity for the brand in the process of promoting what the company is and how it operates. The architecture and interior design of data centers are also an opportunity to define the culture of the network industry, playing a crucial role in today's reality, past history, and future. Data centers are typically industrial buildings with thousands of server cabinets, power plants, cooling equipment, and broadband centers inside. Once the temperature inside the building is set quite low by the air conditioning to compensate for the heat generated by the servers, and electricity is provided to operate the machines, only a few security and technical personnel need to check the status of the servers in the building. This seems to be a high-income, low maintenance business. The interior and exterior of these buildings are completely devoid of human touch, and the only impressive thing when you visit is the monotonous noise emitted by the servers during operation: a constant tone that echoes the noise of airplanes flying. The concept of 'flying in the sky' naturally appears as a metaphorical theme, transforming the concept of a digital highway into a data stream that crosses the sky and serves our lives.

Considering the name of Cloud DCS company, the theme of this project is about an image of a cloud that contains knowledge brought by the wind, defining layers of gradually fading blue tones in the sky to depict today's digital communication. The fluidity and dynamism of clouds formed by wind are expressed through a 30 meter long layered ceiling sculpture, which is a microcosm of digital communication in space and highlights its non-material but powerful properties. The characteristic of this ceiling is made of metal profiles painted in seven blue gradients, covered with Barrisol's elastic fabric and illuminated by neon lights. The intricately carved artworks defined by the ceiling are reflected onto the floor, like a huge oil painting printed on resin, giving people a feeling of walking in the sky.

All interior design colors are pure white and seven tone blue: these colors define the brand identity of the logo and artwork. However, most design features are designed to create an intangible and positive atmosphere for visitors to experience simultaneously. A new concept of factory has been proposed within the data center: why not develop the cooling pipe room into a concept? The intricate design of pipes painted in different colors balances the digital artwork printed on the wall. The theme of the project is to transform the factory from a sad, oppressive, and efficient place to a happy, positive, and efficient place.
The corridors between data centers are defined by artworks, colors, and graphics, implying the concept of crossing the sky. The purpose of the break time and some typical floor planning projects in the leisure field is to introduce an objective and happier workspace into the atmosphere of "work and life" that may be first seen in Chinese factories: for some notorious American headquarters, the development of the office atmosphere has shifted from a serious and corporate perspective to an informal, cool, and more humane atmosphere.

The purpose of this project is to symbolically celebrate that the Internet is seen as an information flow through space. People participate in this mysterious reality and find their own cloud. Strengthening this concept, products such as other spatial galleries or conference rooms are included in cloud mode in Illustrator software design and printing between plastic film laminated glass panels, in order to achieve stunning results in color resolution and reflection of an art floor. A bird's-eye view of the entrance hall of the display room connected to a 30 meter long tunnel in Guangzhou is expected to cover the cloud layer on the floor. As tourists pass by, sensors are connected to projectors to reveal the image of the open cloud, revealing a bird's-eye view of the city if tourists fly above.
